Still on MTV, Fernanda hosted her first big event on television: MTV Video Music Brazil, a show created in 1995 that annually awarded the best local and international video clips, chosen by the votes from the audience and a specialised jury.

The idea was to have a Brazilian version of the American MTV Video Music Awards, and Fernanda took her spontaneity to the cameras when hosting the program in 2002.
